Every Star Wars fan knows that, in the Empire Strikes Back, Darth Vader cuts off Luke Skywalker's hand. But what really happened to it? Where did it go? This is the story of what happened to Luke's severed hand.
There are a few stories that I've heard, but this is the one that seems more real. We know that it fell to the bottom of Cloud City. The Empire found it, still holding Luke's old lightsaber, and they used it to create an evil clone of Luke Skywalker.
The clone was given the same name as Luke Skywalker, except his first name was spelled with an extra U to tell them apart. Darth Vader trained Luuke, and gave him the blue lightsaber Luke had fought with when his hand was cut off.
When he was fully trained, Darth Vader sent the clone to fight Luke Skywalker. Luke was surprised by the clone. Luke and Luuke fought, and in the end, Luke defeated Luuke. And that is one of the many stories behind Luke Skywalker's severed hand.
