6. The Phantom Menace: Darth Maul Gets Cut in Half by Obi-Wan Kenobi
In the Phantom Menace, one of the worst movies in the saga, Darth Maul, Darth Sidious's first apprentice, gets cut in half by Obi-Wan Kenobi, who, in this movie, is only a Padawan. They trick you and make you think that Maul died, but later, in Solo: a Star Wars Story, it is revealed that he actually survived.
5. The Empire Strikes Back: C-3PO Loses all His Limbs
This one isn't blood and guts, but who else can say they were shot by a stormtrooper and fell apart and then got completely put back together again? Nobody. On Cloud City, C-3PO is shot by a stormtrooper and falls apart. That counts as a nasty injury, right?
4. The Force Awakens: Finn Gets Slashed Up by Kylo Ren
You don't really see the slashes on Finn's back, so you don't know if they're gross, but it's one of those parts where, when you're watching, you can just tell that it hurt so, so much, and you can kind of feel the pain. And those slashes were nasty. Ouch!
3. Revenge of the Sith: Count Dooku Gets His Hands Cut Off by Anakin Skywalker
I know Anakin cuts Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus's head off right after this, but Dooku still survived when both his hands get cut off, and Anakin didn't have to kill him, so this still counts. You only see it for a moment, but it is gross!
2. Revenge of the Sith: Palpatine is Disfigured by His Own Force Lightning
In the very same movie Count Dooku is killed, Palpatine is disfigured by his own Force Lightning. It is during his fight with Mace Windu. Palpatine is shooting lightning at Mace, but Mace is holding his purple lightsaber in front of him, and the lightning is reflecting off of it, coming back at him and leaving him disfigured.
1. Revenge of the Sith: Anakin Skywalker Loses Almost Everything on Mustafar
At the end of that very same movie where Count Dooku gets his hands cut off and gets killed and where Palpatine is disfigured, Anakin basically loses everything. He has turned to the dark side, and he is in a lightsaber fight with his own Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. They are on Mustafar, and lava is everywhere. Obi-Wan cuts off Anakin's left arm and both legs, but didn't kill him. Anakin is too close to the lava, and catches on fire. Obi-Wan picks up Anakin's lightsaber and walks away, thinking he would probably die. But Palpatine arrives just in time. He saves Anakin and gives him a suit that could help him breathe, since his lungs were damaged in the lava. He became Darth Vader. At the same time, Anakin's wife, Padme Amidala, died of a broken heart while giving birth to two twins, Luke and Leia.
