Are you a Star Wars expert? Well, the world of Star Wars is huge, so there's a lot of stuff you don't know, even if you are an expert. Your mind might be blown after reading this list, so be prepared.
Nobody ever said "Ewok" in the Entire Star Wars Trilogy
I don't think anyone has ever noticed this. They are called Ewoks, but nobody ever said that word. But somehow, every Star Wars fan knows the name of the species. Strange, right?
Yoda's species is a mystery
Somehow George Lucas forgot to name Yoda's species. I don't know how. His species is a total mystery. We do know that there are others of Yoda's species, like Baby Yoda from the Mandalorian, but we just don't know what it's called.
There are no female pilots in the original trilogy
The original Star Wars trilogy has three whole movies, and yet somehow there are no female pilots in it. Or at least no female pilots that we see. The only pilots who get any screen time are male. Fortunately, they added female pilots to the sequels and prequels.
The Clone Troopers in the Prequels Were CGI
Of course, in the Clone Wars animated series, everything was CGI animation. But did you know that the live action Star Wars prequels used animated Clone troopers instead of real people? I'm sure you didn't, because they made them look pretty realistic.
The noise of a lightsaber is actually the hum of an old television
Have you ever wondered how they created the sound effect for lightsabers? Well, it was the hum of an old TV and the buzz of a film projector's motor. That's how they made the iconic sound of a lightsaber. Not what you expected, huh?
You can actually use Star Wars collectible coins as real money
There are Star Wars collectible coins, and the South Pacific island of Niue actually accepts the collectible coins as real money. That's pretty strange.
There is the most stop motion animation in the Empire Strikes Back
The Empire Strikes Back actually uses the most stop motion animation in it. The others don't use nearly as much. Very strange.
The Ewok language is a combination of two real languages
You may have thought all Star Wars languages were made up. Which is basically true. The Ewok language is a combination of Tibetan and Nepalese. I only said it was basically true because the Ewoks speak a combination of those two languages. So it's still not a real language.
The line "I have a bad feeling about this" is said in every Star Wars film
More people know this than the others, but I wanted to include it anyway. In every Star Wars movie, from 1977 to 2019, someone has said "I have a bad feeling about this" or "I have a really bad feeling about this." But in Solo: a Star Wars Story, Han Solo said, "I have a really good feeling about this" instead.
There are enough Star Wars fan videos to recreate a New Hope and the Empire Strikes Back
This proves how many Star Wars fans there are out there. So many fans have created videos about Star Wars that, if you put them all together, you can recreate a New Hope and the Empire Strikes Back. I bet you didn't know that.
Did you like this list? Did you already know any of these facts? How many did you not know? I hope you enjoyed!
